Culture and History

Nepomyšl Château has the shape of a 16-sided polygon on the outside and a nine-sided polygon in the courtyard. It originated from a fortress probably founded in the first half of the 14th century. Nepomyšl Château is not open to the public.

The Gothic Church of St. Nicholas in Nepomyšl was founded in the mid-14th century and contains fragments of Gothic wall paintings from the 14th and 15th centuries. It can be visited by prior arrangement with the municipal office.

In front of the Church of St. Nicholas stands a Baroque statue of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of the market town of Nepomyšl, dating from 1907. On the road towards Brody, a statue of the Expectant Virgin Mary, erected in 1712, stands on the right.

The chapel was restored in the 1990s, restored again in 2018, and reconsecrated in 2019.

Landscape

On the outskirts of Nepomyšl, near the kaolin works, a protected linden tree about 320 years old stands on a hill.

Routes

A blue-marked hiking trail leads from Nepomyšl via Dvérce, Dětaň, and Kružínský vrch to Kryry.

Cycle Route 35 runs along the western edge of the cadastral area of Nepomyšl. Cycle Route 3080 is located in the immediate vicinity of Nepomyšl.

Public Transport

Public bus services in Nepomyšl operate exclusively on weekdays. The weekday bus connections from Nepomyšl run in the direction of Podbořany.
