Patokryje: Hotels and Accommodation

Patokryje Fortress stands on a gentle rise above the pond in the northwestern built-up part of the municipality. It has a regular rectangular ground plan, several floors, and turrets at the corners. The fortress was first mentioned in 1397.

Landscape

Patokryje lies between the right bank of the Srpina stream and Zlatník Hill, at the beginning of the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area, at an altitude of 221 metres.

Paths and Water

The Most – Rudolice nad Bílinou – Patokryje – Korozluky – Zaječice – Polerady – Lišnice – Most cycle route passes through Patokryje. It is suitable for parents with children. “Nová voda Patokryje” is a designated non-trout fishing ground.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Patokryje was built by the municipality with the support of the estate owners, the Lobkowicz family of Bílina, and completed in 1741. The stone atonement cross in Patokryje is listed as a cultural monument. The atonement cross, inventory number 0350, stands in the foundation of the fence surrounding the U Křížku inn. It still bears an engraved motif that may represent a chalice with a host or a face.

Events

Patokryjská vlna is a recurring summer event; the edition announced for 2026 was the 16th. In 2026, residents and visitors were invited to the traditional witch-burning event, “Pálení čarodějnic”, in Patokryje.

Practical Information

A restaurant is located on the upper floor of the municipal building in the centre of Patokryje, house number 138. A Class III road passes through Patokryje and begins at the nearby I/13 expressway. The I/13 expressway connects Most with Teplice and Ústí nad Labem, and the Class III road ends in Lužice.
