Peruc: Hotels and Accommodation

Peruc Chateau was created in the Baroque period by remodeling a Gothic fortress and is a three-winged building with three risalits.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Peter and Paul is a single-nave parish church. The builder E. Kondel erected it in 1768–1769 in an elevated position opposite the chateau grounds.

From 1947 to 1953, Emil Filla worked in part of Peruc Chateau, where he mainly created landscape paintings of the Central Bohemian Uplands. In 1958, the Fillova pamětní síň memorial hall was opened at Peruc Chateau.

The Museum české vesnice is housed in a former Baroque barn dating from 1876 in the chateau park in Peruc and can be accessed through a gate on Emila Filly Square. Exhibits include agricultural machinery, ploughs, fire engines, and horse- or ox-drawn carts. The museum also features exhibitions on beekeeping and tools used in blacksmithing.

Hiking

The Perucko educational trail is an approximately 12.5 km circular route that starts and ends at the COOP shopping centre on Komenského Street in Peruc. It has 20 stops; information boards provide insights into the history, nature, and sights of Peruc and the surrounding area.

Four marked hiking trails run through the municipality of Peruc: the red trail Peruc–Slavětín–Louny, the blue trail from Peruc railway station via Chrastín to Libochovice, the yellow trail from Chrastín via Stradonice to Pátek (railway station), and the Perucko educational trail.

Nature

The Boženina Spring is located in the centre of Peruc. It is fed by a spring emerging from the rock below the chateau, is built of masonry, and is covered by a Neo-Gothic gazebo.

Oldřichův dub is a memorial tree on the outskirts of Peruc in the Louny District. There is a prepared rest area by the tree.
