Encovany Chateau is a four-wing Renaissance and Early Baroque arcaded chateau.
Culture and History
Encovany Chateau preserves cross vaults and cloister vaults, beamed ceilings, remnants of Renaissance wall paintings, fireplaces, and Renaissance or Neo-Renaissance portals. The niche chapel in Encovany is a highly authentically preserved example of small-scale Early Classical sacral architecture in the Litoměřice area. It is located on a footpath connecting the main road through Dolnà Encovany with the road to Polepy.
In Prachová, St. Wenceslas Chapel stands on the site of an older St. Nicholas Church, which belonged to the medieval village of Prachová. In 1835, an Empire-style church dedicated to St. Wenceslas was built at a new cemetery for Hrušovany and Encovany.

Nature
The Natura 2000 site Holý vrch is located within the municipality of Polepy. The Skalky u Třebutiček protected area features semi-natural dry grasslands and shrub formations on calcareous substrates, oak-hornbeam forests, and thermophilous oak forests.
Practical Information
Polepy has a newly installed charging station for e-bikes with a compressor for inflating bicycle tires and charging mobile devices. The “Polepy, Hrušovany” bus stop in Hrušovany is approximately 1 km from the ruins of St. Wenceslas Church.
