Všestudy: Hotels and Accommodation

The first written mention of Všestudy dates back to 1325. The settlement originated on the Míšeňská trade route, which connected the Chomutov region with Litoměřice. Archaeological finds also show that Všestudy and its surroundings were already inhabited in the Late Bronze Age by people of the Knovíz culture.

History and Culture

Všestudy is home to the ruined Church of Saint Michael the Archangel. Inside, there is a bricked-up Gothic portal arch. In 2018, the entrances to the church were fitted with grilles. Next to the church there is also a Baroque stone cross, which has been protected as a monument since 3 May 1958.

The archaeological area of Všestudy includes prehistoric finds from the vicinity of the church as well as a urn burial find from the cadastral area. All these finds are housed in the collection of the Chomutov Museum. Since the 19th century, Všestudy has also been one of the oldest sites of brown coal mining in the Chomutov area.

A memorial to the victims of the Second World War stands in a park at the entrance to Všestudy. It bears the designation “Memorial to the Liberation 1939–1945”. After 1945, the memorial was moved to a park on the northern edge of the settlement and completed on 21 May 1925.

Landscape and Trails

There are two ponds in Všestudy. The pond on plot no. 68 covers 7,215 m², while the pond on plot no. 168 covers 1,316 m². North of Všestudy, the paths towards Strupčice and Okořín are unpaved.
