Výsluní: Hotels and Accommodation

Výsluní was founded between 1543 and 1547 and soon developed into a mining town. The regular chessboard-like town layout with a central square defines the structure of the settlement. Silver and iron ores were mined in the area around Výsluní.

Culture and History

The present-day Church of St Wenceslas in Výsluní was built between 1851 and 1857 in the Neo-Romanesque style according to plans by the architect Karel Řivnáč. Since 1998, it has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The church is used for weddings and occasionally for cultural events and exhibitions; concerts and a theatre performance have also taken place there.

Nature in the Valley

The Kýšovický Waterfall is located on the rocky slopes of the valley of the Prunéřovský potok stream. Its water flows over three cascades, overcoming an elevation difference of up to 25 m. The waterfall can be reached from Myší díra in the valley of the Prunéřovský potok or from Sobětice.

Routes Around Výsluní

One route leads from Výsluní onwards to Výsluní railway station. The Nová Ves–Hasištejn–Výsluní route is 20 km long in total. On the return leg of this route, a yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Hasištejn Castle to Výsluní.
