Zabrušany: Hotels and Accommodation

The earliest phase of the Zabrušany hillfort dates back to the turn of the 8th and 9th centuries. In the 10th century, the hillfort was expanded and protected by three belts of fortifications.

Culture and History

The Church of Sts Simon, Jude and Anthony, together with its staircase, forms an axially composed architectural ensemble. The historic structure with this church was demolished and relocated just under half a kilometre to the northeast, to the rampart of the former hillfort. The filial Church of Sts Simon and Jude in Zabrušany was built in 1723–1728.

Nature

The Zabrušany ponds have natural banks and form an ecologically stabilising element of the area. They were created by flooding a residual pit from lignite mining with groundwater and water from the Bouřlivec stream.

The Všechlapy Reservoir was created in the municipality of Zabrušany near the original hillfort. Sport fishing is possible at the Všechlapy Reservoir.

Sports and Events

In the centre of Zabrušany, there is an interconnected sports complex with a multipurpose court, a football pitch and a nearby children's playground. The multipurpose sports court is equipped for volleyball, nohejbal, small-sided football and streetball.

At the Zabrušany festivities, children from the local kindergartens and pupils from the primary school performed short programmes.
