Havlíčkova Borová: Hotels and Accommodations

The grounds of the Church of St. Vitus include a cemetery surrounded by a stone perimeter wall and a rectangular mortuary built into this wall. Below the church stands a Baroque rectory dating from 1726. In front of one house there is also an elegant wayside shrine (Boží muka) dating from 1765.

Poustevníkova studánka is associated with a local legend dating back to the early 17th century. Passers-by can use the cold water from the spring.

The Karel Havlíček Borovský Educational Trail was established in October 2022 and begins in the immediate vicinity of his birthplace. Around the local mill and brewery, the Borovský potok forms graceful meanders.

The Borovská jezírka are a protected natural monument formed from flooded shafts of the iron ore mines operated in the 19th century. In the vicinity of Havlíčkova Borová lie the extensive forests of the Ransko Massif, which are part of the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area and are currently severely affected by a bark beetle infestation. Nearby Ransko is designated as a national nature reserve.
