Prosíčka: Hotels and Accommodation

Prosíčka can be placed in a particularly concrete context through the 18.5 km-long Cesta pátera Josefa Toufara hiking route. It runs from Leština u Světlé nad Sázavou via Dobrnice, Kynice, Číhošť, Prosíčka, Nezdín, Opatovice, Dubice rozc. and Benetice to Smrčná railway station. In Prosíčka, the route passes an interesting wooden sculpture of a firefighter.

History

Dolní Prosíčka and Horní Prosíčka were formerly two independent villages. Payments from the village of Dolní Prosíčka are mentioned for the year 1545; the former bell tower there no longer exists today. Vodákův mlýn has been mentioned since as early as 1587 and was also called Franclův mlýn, Šotolův mlýn and Brodilův mlýn at various points in its history. Today, Vodákův mlýn is once again used as a residential property and bears house number 9.

Culture and Nature

In the municipality of Prosíčka, the chapel at Nezdínská studánka was built in 1929. Horní Prosíčka still has a bell tower with a bell purchased in 1950; a stone cross stands next to house no. 14. Nezdínská studánka lies in a wooded valley below Nezdín. Its water is slightly radioactive, and the Nezdínský potok stream rises at this location.
