Sázavka: Hotels and Accommodation

In the centre of Sázavka stands the Church of St. John the Baptist. It is of Gothic origin and is a single-nave early Gothic building.

Culture and history

The Smírčí kříž forms part of Sázavka’s historical and cultural heritage. The granite monument to the victims of the First and Second World Wars is also located on the main road.

The Evangelical cemetery church is located in the northern part of Sázavka. The Evangelical chapel in Sázavka was ceremonially opened together with the cemetery on 4 October 1880; it was created by converting an older cooperage.

Nature and routes

The lower course of the Sázavka runs along the western edge of the municipality. The SV001 nature conservation site is designated there because two specially protected fish species occur there.

A marked cycle route runs through the municipality of Sázavka along road III/34734 and then along a local road towards Lubno u Bačkova.

Transport

The Sázavka railway stop is easily accessible from the central area of the municipality.
