Sedletín: Hotels and Accommodation
Nature and local history meet in Sedletín. The Havranka Nature Reserve extends across the cadastral areas of Jiříkov u Kamene and Sedletín and protects a complex of wet meadows, tall-sedge vegetation, and wet marsh-marigold and thistle meadows. Sedletín was probably established at the end of the 14th century at a turnoff from the Liběcká Road to the Habrská Road.
Nature and Wildlife Observation
The Ornithological Observation Trail is fully accessible along its 3 km length. In addition to the most common mallard, six other duck species can be observed there throughout the year. Great crested grebes regularly occur and breed near the trail.
Other natural sites include the Sedletín Lakes, the location leased by OK Vysočina for the longest period; water irises bloom there. “Welcoming the Birds’ Song” is organized by OK Vysočina every year around the turn of April and May in connection with the Ornithological Observation Trail.
Landscape
A section of cycle route 4153 was opened in 2002 in the northern part of Sedletín’s cadastral area. The Jilemský potok stream connects four ponds in Sedletín.
Culture and History
In the vicinity of Sedletín, near the road from Habry to Chotěboř, stands the four-metre-high Menhir u Sedletína, also known as Vysoký Kámen, set into the ground. The menhir was erected in 2002 by the Vysočina Nature Conservation Association.
“Sedletínské kulturní léto” is a series of dance events held at the summer dance floor in the centre of Sedletín.
