Vysoké Studnice: Hotels and accommodations

Above Vysoké Studnice lies the sacred complex with the Church of the Holy Trinity and the cemetery in a prominent location. The parish church is a single-nave, oriented building with a polygonal presbytery ending.

Cultural and sacred complex

The Church of the Holy Trinity was consecrated to the Holy Trinity in 1665. It is a late Renaissance church dating from 1605. Alterations were carried out in the third quarter of the 17th century, at the beginning of the 18th century and in 1888; it was renovated in 1998 and 2007.

The cemetery around the church was established in 1720. The three cemetery chapels have square floor plans and hipped roofs covered with wooden shingles. A pilgrimage to the Holy Trinity takes place at the parish church.

In Vysoké Studnice, the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is also listed as protected cultural heritage. Its registration number is 29619/7-5411; it has been protected since January 4, 1973.

Tower and cemetery

The church tower offers a far-reaching view of the surrounding area. The tower is currently not regularly open to the public; however, borrowing a key can be arranged.

The cemetery has a pedestrian entrance at its southwestern corner and an access gate approximately in the middle of the eastern boundary wall.

Location and transport

Vysoké Studnice is located 10 km east of Jihlava on the old road to Brno. Road access is good even in winter. On weekdays, there is an adequate bus service to Vysoké Studnice; only a few buses operate on weekends.
