The Půlnoční drak dragon boat race has been held every September since 2016 at Zámecký rybník in Horní Cerekev. Visitors can try dragon boat paddling during a training session at Zámecký rybník in Horní Cerekev.

Culture

The first surviving written record of Horní Cerekev dates from 1361. The Jewish cemetery contains around 180 gravestones dating from the 18th century to the 1930s. It also features a small mortuary with a steep pyramidal roof.

Horní Cerekev Castle is a surviving two-storey building with three wings and an arcaded courtyard; Zámecký rybník borders it to the south. The castle is not open to visitors. The Baroque Church of the Annunciation stands in the square in Horní Cerekev.

Nature

On the road out towards Pelhřimov, there is a one-kilometre-long chestnut avenue planted at the end of the 19th century. On the road out towards Kamenice nad Lipou stands a protected ash tree estimated to be 200 years old.

In the Horní Cerekev quarry, schools of perch, carp and bleak can be seen; with a little luck, eels and catfish can also be observed.
