Trsov consists of scattered individual farmsteads near Řeženčice. In 1869, the locality bore the former name Trsovský Mlýn.
History
The Čejkov-Trsov locality is considered a medieval smelting site for polymetallic ores.
Nature and Landscape
East of Nový Rychnov, in the Mešnice Mountains, there is a natural monument with rock formations known as Čertův Hrádek. Nový Rychnov lies in a valley surrounded by the hills of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, with numerous forests, meadows, and ponds.
The small Trsov spring area is listed in the Vysočina Red List with a species of moss.
Activities
Nový Rychnov is an important junction of Class I and Class II roads and has good connections to the surrounding area. In the Nový Rychnov area, marked hiking trails connect the natural attractions there; there are also opportunities for hiking and cycling.
In the surrounding area, the Křemešník educational trail runs around the summit and is approximately 3 km long. It includes eight main stations focusing on forests and forest management, the nature reserve, flora and fauna, mineral springs, and cultural monuments.
In the surrounding area, the Křemešník climbing center includes a children's park, a junior park, and a high ropes course including zip lines.
