Benetice: Hotels and Accommodation

The history of Benetice dates back at least to the first half of the 13th century. At that time, the village was founded as a colonization settlement and belonged to the Benedictine monastery of Třebíč. Historical buildings include the Benetice rectory, which was built around 1760 for the former church. The local legend “Vyplněný sen” is also associated with the village.

A special local establishment is the self-service bar with a gallery of pictures and paintings by the student Karel Krejčí.

Benetice lies on the slope of a narrow valley that descends southward into the catchment area of the Klapůvka stream. The landscape includes scattered granitic syenite rock outcrops and boulder formations.

In the vicinity of Benetice, at the edge of the forest about 300 meters beyond the settlement of Věstoňovice, stands the protected sycamore maple “Velký Javor”. Its age is estimated at 650 to 700 years.

The deep forests around Benetice are crisscrossed by hiking trails. From Věstoňovice, a district of Benetice, marked hiking trails continue on foot or by mountain bike toward Čechtín or Vartenberk. The area around Benetice offers opportunities for cycling tourism, while the landscape around the village is suitable for mushroom picking.
