Jinošov: Hotels and Accommodation
In Jinošov, the Jinošovské studánky route passes by nine springs. It is approximately 12 km long and includes, among others, the V Olších spring, the source of the Pucovský potok stream, and the V Hrdle spring, which feeds the nearby Bělizna pond. The Jinošovské studánky hiking day takes place every year in May; the first official hiking day was held in 1978.
Culture and History
The Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Jinošov was first mentioned in 1368. It is a single-nave Romanesque church on a slight rise above Jinošov. The oldest surviving part is the presbytery with Gothic ribs, as well as the sacristy.
On the inside, the cemetery wall surrounding the church is structured by blind arcades with figurative paintings by F. Mikula of Jinín from 1841 to 1854.
The orangery building is located in the western part of Schönwald Landscape Park in Jinošov; only a torso of it remains. The historic Schönwald summer château was built between 1827 and 1829 on the site of a former pheasantry. Even before taking over the estate in 1795, Count Jindřich Vilém decided to transform the former pheasantry into an English park and his summer residence.
The Silvanův chrám stands at the highest point of Schönwald Park. In the Temple of Apollo, musical performances and celebrations took place in the first half of the 19th century. The Temple of Apollo in Schönwald preserves picturesque decoration and excellent acoustics. Dianin altán is a separate structure within the Schönwald château and park complex.
