Kožichovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Hluboček is a 2.203-hectare natural monument, first designated on 20 October 1983. Hluboček is also home to a growth locality of the two-leaved squill (Scilla bifolia).

The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius was built above a water source. Another chapel stands in the village square of Kožichovice; it contains an altar from 1892 dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius. Kožichovice is also home to a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1791.

Kožichovice is also associated with Matyáš Žďárský, who was born in 1856 in a mill in Kožichovice. A memorial plaque commemorating Matyáš Žďárský has been displayed at house no. 40 in Kožichovice since 1993. The “Běh Matyáše Žďárského” race has been held every year at the end of September since 1993 under the auspices of Kožichovice and Třebíč.

This historical connection extends beyond the village: the ski binding developed by Žďárský laid the foundations for alpine skiing.

The Markovka Reservoir covers 14 hectares and is used for recreation and fishing. The Třebíčský okruh passes through Kožichovice from the Hluboček signpost along the western boundary of the municipality to Klučov.

The approach to the spring leads from the southwest via a descending staircase with a stone wall.
