Zvěrkovice was already in existence in the first half of the 14th century. Polepšil Pond is a habitat for wild ducks; swans regularly breed there.

History

The municipal bell tower of Zvěrkovice dates from 1854. The Chapel of the Guardian Angel in Zvěrkovice was built in 1902. The memorial to those who fell in the First World War in Zvěrkovice was unveiled on 2 September 1928. Before the Thirty Years' War, there were 26 farmsteads in Zvěrkovice; during the wars, nine of them fell into disrepair.

Culture

The Chapel of St. Anne stands on a field road leading to Lažínky. The Holy Trinity is located on the outskirts of Zvěrkovice. There are stone or iron crosses at other sites in the cadastral area of Zvěrkovice. Sts. Cyril and Methodius is a small Neoclassical niche chapel east of Zvěrkovice on the road to Hostim. The Zvěrkovice Amateur Theatre Group has existed since 2009.

Trails and Leisure

A class II road runs through Zvěrkovice in the direction of Hostim. The “From Buďovice via Jevi to Olbramkostel” trekking route runs through Zvěrkovice.

Tennis, football, basketball and various other ball sports can be played on the multi-purpose sports field in Zvěrkovice. The multi-purpose sports field is freely accessible to the general public and holidaymakers.
