Hotels in Ludslavice – Church, History and Traditions
In Ludslavice, the Church of Saint Wenceslas is one of the most significant historical landmarks. An extension added in 1958 gave it its present form; in 2007, it underwent extensive renovation.
History and Culture
The first written mention of Ludslavice dates back to 1275. In the 16th century, Ludslavice was referred to as Ruclavice or Rudslavice; the present name was not reintroduced until 1925.
In the fields outside Ludslavice, the Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands beneath a linden tree. It was built in 1908. The chapel can be reached by crossing a footbridge over the Ludslávka stream and then continuing along a footpath. The route therefore consists of two clearly defined sections: first crossing the stream, followed by continuing on foot to the chapel.
At the cross from 1880, the pedestal features a relief of a chalice and a host. The cross is also flanked by two slightly smaller-than-life-size praying statues whose eyes are directed toward the cross.
Landscape and Geographical Location
The cadastral area of Ludslavice covers 585 hectares; more than 80 percent of it is used as arable land. Ludslavice lies on the connecting road between Zahnašovice and Kurovice, less than 5 km southwest of Holešov. The Ludslávka watercourse runs through the cadastral area of Ludslavice. Thus, the area size, predominant land use, road location and watercourse are presented as separate geographical details.
Sports and Local Traditions
Ludslavice has a multi-purpose sports court with artificial turf. It is suitable for tennis, volleyball, small-sided football, nohejbal, handball and similar sports.
The tradition of Vodění medvěda is maintained in Ludslavice. Other traditions maintained in Ludslavice include Christmas concerts by the church choir and the local tradition of the church consecration festival. These three terms refer to different forms of local custom: Vodění medvěda, church-music Christmas concerts and the church consecration festival.
For practical planning, you can view and compare offers in Ludslavice. On the respective offer pages, pay particular attention to the exact location, type of accommodation, stated number of guests, included services, price components, and the rules for changes or cancellations. This makes it possible to classify the offers according to the same factual points without conflating their respective conditions. In each case, only the fields and conditions actually stated on the relevant page are authoritative. For an objective comparison, it is useful to read these points separately: location is not the same as type of accommodation, the stated number of guests is not the same as the included services, and a price component is not the same as a change or cancellation rule. Different designations may also refer to different conditions on the offer pages. What matters, therefore, is which fields are explicitly stated in the respective offer; features that are not listed should not be added or taken from another offer.
