Modrá: Archaeological Open-Air Museum, Živá voda and Chřiby

From the palace of the Modrá Archaeological Open-Air Museum, visitors can reach the Klenotnice Velké Moravy exhibition hall. Its route leads from the Convent Pond near the pilgrimage basilica in Velehrad through Modrá and the valley of the Modranský potok into the Chřiby Mountains. In the valley of the Modranský potok there is a cascade of six ponds with numerous rare and protected animals, especially amphibians.

The Stezka praturů can be reached from the Živá voda grounds via a footbridge that runs up to four metres above the ground. The Stezka praturů has twelve thematic stations. There, visitors can observe aurochs and learn interesting facts about their history and their return to the Moravian pastures after 2,000 years. Above the northern edge of Modrá there is also the Židoviny lookout tower, a small wooden observation tower.

At the Centrum historie a tradic Modrá, visitors can taste regional fruit brandies and wine. They can also learn about the fruit distillation process and the history of viticulture there.
