The Horní Louky meadows are home to unique flora, including Carpathian orchids – “stavače”. Another distinctive feature is Pramen Slatina: the spring is carbonated and salty and has a high lithium content. Pramen Slatina is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle and by car.

In the surroundings of Suchá Loz, the U Křížku lookout tower offers a semicircular view. To the northeast, it reaches Mikulčin vrch; to the east, Velký Lopeník; and to the southwest, Velká Javořina. In the southeast, part of the Považský Inovec range in Slovakia can be seen.

A 34 km route runs along paved cycle paths and, over a short section, along field and forest roads. The cycling route named after Komenský leads from Uherský Brod via Nivnice and Suchá Loz to Bystřice pod Lopeníkem, Komňa and Bojkovice.

An old brick bell tower from the 19th century stands in the village square. The Veleckých Mill dates from the 18th century. Folk customs have been preserved in Suchá Loz, including the Kateřinská zábava celebration with the “právem žen” custom and the “o botu” contest.

Various social events take place at the Sucholožská chalupa, including Christmas, Easter and the Sucholožské hody festival. At Berdina, visitors can try on the traditional Sucholožský kroj costume. Several sites dedicated to saints refer to different periods. The site dedicated to Saint Roch is dated to 1886, the year a plague epidemic ended in the village. The site dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul is dated to the late 18th century. The site dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius is dated to the 1860s.
