Hutisko Solanec: Hotels and Accommodation

Hutisko-Solanec lies in the foothills of the Beskids. The municipality extends from the valley of the Solanecký potok at 450 m up to 911 m at the summit of Tanečnice.

Landscape and Nature

About 1 km north of the village centre lies the “Poskla” nature monument. It consists of three separate, not far-distant areas: Poskla I, Poskla II and Poskla III. The areas are located in the Vigantická pahorkatina within the Rožnovská brázda, at elevations of 495 to 565 m.

Hiking and Winter Sports

Road II/481 runs through the municipality. It leads from Prostřední Bečva via Soláň to Velké Karlovice. The area around Hutisko-Solanec also has 300 km of cycling routes, which mostly run along field and forest paths.

One specific route is the cycling trip “Na umělci políbenou Soláň”. It passes through Hutisko-Solanec from Vigantice to the Soláň ridge. During the winter season, Hutisko-Solanec has four locations with ski lifts as well as many cross-country skiing trails.

Culture and Local History

The “Hasičské muzeum” displays historical firefighting equipment from local and surrounding fire brigades. The exhibits include a fire engine pump from the workshop of the Pařík brothers, which has been owned by the local fire brigade since 1933 and is still operational.

The masonry church in Hutisko-Solanec was built in 1748 after the previous wooden church burned down. The village is also home to the “Památník Charlotty Garrigue Masarykové” monument. It consists of a sandstone block with a plaque and a bust of Charlotta Masaryková on the front. Dožínky, a harvest festival, are also traditionally celebrated in Hutisko-Solanec.

Outdoor Swimming Pool and Facilities

The “Koupaliště Hutisko-Solanec” outdoor swimming pool has a newly renovated 50-metre pool and a smaller children’s pool. The swimming pool complex also includes a campsite for tents and caravans, a playground, sand tennis courts and a children’s corner.
