Mikulůvka: Hotels and accommodations

Mikulůvka lies in a picturesque valley at the eastern foot of the Hostýnské vrchy hills. The Mikulůvka stream flows through the village and empties into the Vsetínská Bečva River. A large part of Mikulůvka’s area is forested.

Culture and history

The water mill complex in the eastern part of Mikulůvka consists of an inhabited timber-framed section, a newer brick mill building, and two stone cellars with wooden superstructures. Mikulův Mill is protected as a cultural monument, is open to the public as an exhibition on the historical development of milling, and serves as a center for environmental activities.

The Valašský krúžek in Mikulůvka was founded in 1949 and staged theatrical performances as well as ethnographic programs featuring dance and singing. The wooden bell tower dates from 1906 and is considered an important local landmark. It was reconstructed, and a new bell has been ringing there since 2013.

Landscape and cycling routes

A marked cycling route runs through Mikulůvka, following the valley along the Mikulůvka stream into the surrounding forests. The Gurmánská cycling route has an elevation difference of 620 meters. It runs from Bystřička through Mikulůvka, Prženské paseky, and Pržno, and then once again through Mikulůvka.

At the very beginning of the Gurmánská route, visitors can try Valašské baked goods such as Frgály at a local bakery.

Sports and outdoor swimming pool

The Mikulůvka outdoor swimming pool has a small pool and a large pool, offers beach volleyball, and has a snack bar.

The Mikulůvka sports complex includes a sports hall and a multi-purpose court with facilities for tennis, nohejbal, and volleyball. Locals and tourists can visit the sports complex during the season and try tennis, basketball, and other sports.

Kaprobraní takes place in Mikulůvka every year, accompanied by an extensive program of activities.
