Jablůnka: Hotels and Accommodation

Around Jablůnka, the “Kotáry, co pamatujú” educational trail leads through the countryside, connecting the history of the municipality, the landscape, and the memories of local residents. Along its ten stops, it provides information about the history of Jablůnka, everyday life, and residents’ memories. The educational trail offers two moderately difficult options: a green circular route of approximately 6 km and a yellow circular route of approximately 10 km.

Culture and History

The Jablůnka cross, dating from 1771, stands on the road between Jablůnka and Bystřička on the U Kříže hill and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958. Its Baroque pedestal is made of sandstone; the front bears the relief coat of arms of the Illesházy family, while the year 1771 is inscribed on the back.

The first written mention of Jablůnka dates from 24 June 1505 and was made in connection with the entry of an estate purchase in the Moravian land registers. The foundation stone of the Protestant church in Jablůnka was laid in 1877. The church burned down in 1903 and was subsequently restored. Next to it stands a monument to the victims of the First and Second World Wars; it was reconstructed in 1995 and fitted with a memorial capsule.

A regional tradition is also part of the village’s public life: the traditional competition “O nejlepší jablůnecků jabkovicu a o nejlepší jabkovů buchtu” reached its 21st edition in 2026.

Nature

Jablůnka lies partly on the river deposits of the Vsetínská Bečva and partly on slopes leading to the western foothills of the Vsetínské vrchy.

Location and Transport

Jablůnka lies on road I/57 and on the railway line from Valašské Meziříčí to Vsetín. Jablůnka railway station is located on line 280 on the (Olomouc–) Přerov–Hranice na Moravě–Střelná (–Púchov) route.

The Jablůnka station building was originally constructed in 1885 on a single-track railway line and was converted to accommodate two tracks in 1937 when the line was upgraded. Jablůnka railway station is integrated into the public transport system. There is no ticket office at the station; tickets are sold on the train.
