Horni Lidec: Hotels and Accommodations

Horní Lideč combines a year-round exhibition with modern nature themes and educational trails through the Valašsko landscape. As a result, culture, landscape conservation, and paths through hilly terrain are brought together within a compact narrative setting.

Culture

The Betlém Horní Lideč exhibition is open year-round and can be visited throughout the year. The mechanical Betlém Horní Lideč features 230 figures, including 75 moving figures, as well as more than 100 carved structures depicting, among other things, notable places in the Zlínský Region. A pilgrimage takes place in Horní Lideč every year on September 28.

Nature

The Trezor přírody Horní Lideč is a modern multimedia exhibition with large-screen projection. It showcases natural treasures from the four protected landscape areas “Bílé Karpaty,” “Biele Karpaty,” “Beskydy,” and “slovenské Kysuce.” As an interactive exhibition, Trezor přírody Horní Lideč explains the reasons for landscape protection in an entertaining way.

Educational Trails

The Vařákovy paseky educational trail begins at the railway station in Horní Lideč. It follows yellow- and blue-marked paths via Lačnov and back to Lidečko. The trail is 15 kilometers long and leads through hilly terrain with local climbs.

The Pulčínská cesta educational trail runs from the Horní Lideč railway station via the Pulčín trail junction to the information center in Pulčín. It leads through a hilly landscape with pastures and beautiful views and focuses primarily on the Valašsko landscape.
