Another extensive natural area is the Uroczyska Borów Dolnośląskich in the municipality of Węgliniec. It covers 8,067.8 ha, lies in the catchment areas of the Lusatian Neisse and the Kwisa on nutrient-poor sandy soils, and is one of the largest forest areas in Central Europe. These areas differ both in size and in the landscape features described.

Two route details are useful when planning a cycling trip: the ER-4 cycling route runs from Zgorzelec to Lwówek Śląski through Zgorzelec County. The “Worek Turoszowski” tourist trail also passes through the county and is 61.5 km long.
