Culture
Mănăstirea Peștera Ialomiței Monastery lies at an altitude of 1,600 m and is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Bucegi Mountains.
The monastery’s first wooden hermitage at the entrance to Peștera Ialomiței is attributed to the voivode Mihnea Vodă cel Rău (1508–1509). The cave and monastery connection is combined here with a specific historical attribution.
Getting There
From the Moroeni commune, access to cabins and tourist destinations in the Bucegi Massif is provided via county road DJ 130 Glod–Peștera, which is approximately 42 km long.
The Moroeni commune is connected to the railway network and the Pietroșița–Titu–Bucharest route via the Pietroșița commune. Road and rail connections can be treated as separate details when planning your trip.
When choosing a hotel in Moroeni, you can compare travel dates, room category and cancellation conditions side by side. These fields provide a transparent framework for your personal booking decision, while you organize nature, culture, trails and winter themes separately according to your interests and available time.
