Dúbravy lies in a basin below Poľana. The village is the starting point of the Rudná Tourist Magistrale to Poľana, while spruce-beech forests grow in its surroundings. Its location, forest setting and the named trail route give Dúbravy a clearly structured geographical framework. The connection between the village and the trails is further complemented by specific local references.
Culture
The Dúbravský kroj traditional costume includes richly embroidered headscarves and a white-yellow-red embroidered chest section called “brusliaka”. In Želobudza, the Hospodársky dvor dates from 1908. It was the first state-owned property in the republic. The settlement of Iviny features folk architecture. A bell tower dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus stands there. Every year at the end of June, a Holy Mass is held at the bell tower in Iviny. The cultural references to these places thus range from the precisely named traditional costume through the farmstead to a building and an event in Iviny.
Cycling circuit and connections
A cycling circuit leads from Detva through Dúbravy, Hradná, Iviny and Kalamárka back to Detva. On the Detva–Dúbravy–Hradná–Iviny–Kalamárka cycling circuit, the route runs through villages and fields on paved roads. The route therefore has a fixed sequence of place names and an equally clearly specified road surface. Dúbravy also has bus connections. The village’s transport network thus includes both the cycling circuit and its route, as well as bus connections, without either mode of transport requiring the same form of travel.
The included services, the individual price components, and the booking and cancellation conditions are equally important. Compare these points in the same order each time so that differences between the offers remain clearly visible. When it comes to prices, it is worth checking which components are already included and which conditions apply to changes or cancellation. Also check whether the occupancy suits your planned number of people and whether the stated accommodation type matches your expectations. The specific wording on the offer page is decisive. To do this, view the offers for Dúbravy and check the respective terms before booking. For a clear comparison, you can also check whether the total price is shown for the entire stay or per night and whether additional costs are listed separately. Check how many people the price covers and whether the selected occupancy matches your travel plans. If several options are displayed, they may differ in terms of the accommodation type, included services or conditions for changes. Read the cancellation deadlines and possible costs in full in the respective offer. The exact location details on the offer page are also among the points you can check yourself before making a decision. When comparing different pricing periods, make sure that you compare only values based on the same basis. This keeps the checked terms of the individual offers comparable.
