Číž is centred around Kúpele Číž, with its more than hundred-year tradition, diverse bathing areas, surrounding park and several buildings designated as cultural monuments. The place thus combines spa history, water-based attractions and a landscape that can be traced from the historic buildings into the wider surrounding area.

Spa Tradition and Springs

Kúpele Číž has been operating year-round since 1956 and is open to the public as well as to patients. Sufficient quantities of mineral water from three springs made the construction of Kúpele Číž possible. The iodine spring Themis, the saltwater spring Hygiea and the Neptune spring are mentioned in connection with Kúpele. The more than hundred-year tradition is therefore just as much a part of the history of the place as the various springs associated with it.

Hippotherapy is a rehabilitation method in which the effects of the horse and its gait are used for treatment.

Bathing

The swimming and bathing area at Kúpele Číž includes a swimming pool and a non-swimmer pool; a water temperature of 28 °C is stated for both. There is also a relaxing massage pool with water jets and a water temperature of up to 36 °C. A small pool with water attractions reaches 34 °C.

The bathing area also includes a lagoon beneath a three-lane slide, with a water temperature of 27 °C. The Vodný svet outdoor swimming complex is open to accommodated guests and the public during the summer season. This clearly distinguishes the different water areas and their respective temperatures.

Culture

Číž is home to a late-18th-century manor house designated as a cultural monument. The village also has a late-19th-century Reformed church designated as a cultural monument. In addition, there are late-19th-century spa buildings designated as cultural monuments. The historic buildings are each among the cultural monuments of Číž expressly mentioned.

Nature and Exercise

Kúpele Číž is surrounded by a park. The wider surroundings of Kúpele Číž are flat and characterised by gently rolling hills. Walks in the spa park are recommended as an activity for visitors, while the surrounding area is suitable for cycling tourism. The park, flat terrain and gently rolling hills represent different landscape areas: the park belongs directly to Kúpele Číž, while the hilly character concerns the wider surroundings.
