Water experiences

Aquapark Senec is open year-round. The water comes from a borehole and is between 28 and 38 °C warm. It is used in six different pools; during the summer season, the number rises to as many as eleven pools. The Aquapark also includes a 25-metre swimming pool and the LAZY RIVER water attraction. The seasonal number of pools and the different types of pools give the Aquapark its own structure alongside the open lake area.

Getting around

The Senec Express tourist train connects Slnečné jazerá with Senec city centre. In summer, it runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at regular hourly intervals. It follows a 7.3-kilometre route around the lakes. The starting point and destination are on Senec's main square.

Culture

The Renaissance manor house Turecký dom stands on Senec's central square. It was built between 1556 and 1560 by Krištof Baťán, the Count of Bratislava. Turecký dom currently houses the Senec City Museum; the local tourist information office is also located there. Senec also presents a permanent exhibition on the nature and older history of Senec and its surroundings. A distinct seasonal feature is Senecké leto: Since 1990, this traditional social and cultural event has opened the summer tourism season at Slnečné jazerá and takes place in mid-June on their southern shore.
