Zálesie: Malý Dunaj, Rafting and Hotels
The Malý Dunaj forms a large meander that surrounds Zálesie from the northwest to the northeast.
Water
Lodenica Zálesie organises rafting trips for schools, companies and the general public. The two-hour Malý okruh Zálesie rafting trip starts and ends in Zálesie. Lodenica Zálesie also offers a rafting trip to the Gešajovské mlyny. For trips on the water, Lodenica Zálesie provides canoes, boats and catamarans. For a long time, the narrow riverbank area of Korzo Zálesie was used for rafting participants to get on and off the water.
Nature
Around Zálesie, the Malý Dunaj is considered a river brought back to life, with abundant birdlife and fish. Korzo Zálesie provides space for walks in nature and for observing fauna and flora. The Maják stands on the banks of the Malý Dunaj near Záleská lodenica. It serves as a lookout tower and as a point on a hiking and cycling route. From the top of the Maják, there is an unobstructed three-kilometre view of the river horizon.
Culture and History
Korzo Zálesie includes a natural amphitheatre for smaller cultural activities overlooking the water. The Gešajovské mlyny are replicas of historic water mills displayed on the Malý Dunaj near Zálesie, next to the Maják and Korzo. The Gešajovské mlyny project was completed on 17 November 2012; replicas of mills were placed in the Malý Dunaj as part of the project. An educational information trail about water wheels has been accessible at the Gešajovské mlyny since the end of 2012.
The Chapel of the Holy Trinity was built in 1932. It is a single-nave space with a segmentally terminated presbytery. A statue of Saint Joseph stands in the niche above the main entrance. Zálesie was initially named Gešaj in honour of a benefactor.
