Hamuliakovo between the Danube Cycle Route, Water Sports and Culture
In Hamuliakovo, at the end of Dunajská Street, there is a beach with a large free car park below the dam. Because of the strong current and the nearby shipping channel, it is suitable for experienced riders.
Water
In the Hamuliakovo area, a seven-kilometre section of the Gabčíkovo Hydroelectric Power Station reservoir is used for kitesurfing. The length of the section used gives a concrete indication of the extent of this water sport activity.
Nature
A survey conducted from 2004 to 2009 recorded 40 waterbird species along the section of the infiltration canal between Kopáč Island and Hamuliakovo. The time frame and the precisely identified section of the canal are an integral part of this survey.
Cycle Route
The International Danube Cycle Route is around 92 kilometres long, passes through Hamuliakovo and runs around the Gabčíkovo Hydroelectric Power Station. It connects Bratislava with the Hrušovo Dam and the Gabčíkovo Hydroelectric Power Station. For the most part, it runs away from public roads and is considered suitable for family outings. With its length, the two connections and its predominantly road-free route, the cycle route has a clearly distinctive profile of its own.
Culture and History
At the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, the roof garden offers views of the museum grounds, the Danube and the surrounding landscape. The museum park covers 12,000 m² and contains 60 sculptures.
The Kostol sv. Kríža in Hamuliakovo dates from the 13th century; its interior contains wall paintings from the late 13th century, and its tower leans around 70 centimetres to the north. The construction period, wall paintings and tower inclination are three distinct historical and architectural details.
For planning an overnight stay in Hamuliakovo, you can view or compare hotel offers on the respective offer pages. Also pay attention to which services are included in the price and which price components are listed separately. Booking and cancellation conditions should likewise be clearly identifiable. If several options are under consideration, checking these fields consistently makes comparison easier. Especially when travelling with several people, it is worth checking whether the stated occupancy matches your plans and how the total price is composed of its individual components. Read the conditions on the respective offer page before making your decision. Included or separately charged services, possible fees, the payment date, and the deadlines and conditions for cancellation should also be clearly stated on the offer page. This keeps the price and scope of services comparable across several options. When travelling with several people, included services, additional fees, the payment date, and the deadlines and conditions for cancellation are also relevant comparison fields. Separately displaying the base price and other price components makes it clear which amount forms the basis in each case. This allows you to compare offers using the same information, without inferring services or costs from the title alone.
