Mlynky focuses on several forms of winter sports as well as nature, trails and local history. Precisely described routes, a landscape area with different types of protection and specific destinations in the village make it easier to understand the available activities.

Winter sports

The Mlynky–Biele Vody ski area has a groomed ski slope; night skiing is also available there. The Mlynky cross-country skiing network includes, as its longest route, a 10 km loop around Kráľova hora. Cross-country skiing and biathlon competitions are held every year on the cross-country skiing trails in Mlynky. This means that, alongside alpine skiing, various forms of Nordic winter sports are also central to the village.

Nature

At its western edge, the cadastral area of Mlynky extends into Slovenský raj National Park. Most of the Mlynky area belongs to the buffer zone of this national park. There is another clearly defined natural feature in the Biele Vody district: to the northwest, it borders the Zejmarská roklina National Nature Reserve.

Trails

The Hnilecká cyklomagistrála runs through Mlynky and connects Dedinky with Margecany; it is 69.0 km long. Marked hiking trail 2825 also passes through the village: it leads from Dedinky via Mlynky, Prostredný Hámor and Havrania Dolina to Zadný Hýľ and is 8.2 km long in total. A shorter route connects Mlynky with Havrania Dolina. It is 1.0 km long, has an elevation difference of 20 m and takes approximately 30 minutes.

Culture and history

Mlynky is home to an Evangelical church, a late Baroque building dating from the end of the 18th century. There is also an educational trail in the surroundings of Mlynky with two stops dedicated to the mining history of Mlynky. The historical references are therefore not limited to a single building but also appear along a themed trail.

When viewing or comparing hotel offers for Mlynky, check the exact location, type of accommodation and possible occupancy on the respective offer page. Also pay attention to included services, individual price components and the applicable booking and cancellation conditions. The stated total costs and any conditions for changes should also be clearly identifiable before booking. In addition, you can check whether mandatory additional costs are included in the total amount or listed separately. Also check the period for which the price applies, which payment deadlines are specified and whether occupancy is stated in the same format. If conditions differ, it is advisable to consider the individual cost components separately. It should likewise be clear whether changes are possible only under certain conditions and which deadlines apply to them. These points help you compare the offer pages objectively side by side without drawing conclusions about a specific accommodation from individual price or service components.
