Devičany: Churches, Manor House and Hiking Route

Devičany combines architectural history, a varied landscape and a hiking route through the village. Culture

Devičany is home to a Protestant church, a Baroque-Neoclassical building dating from 1776. Its tower was added in 1856. The church is surrounded by a wall into which a stone Baroque-Neoclassical epitaph has been set. The architectural form, date, later tower and epitaph thus form an ensemble whose individual features are clearly identified.

The new school building in Devičany was constructed from 1914 to 1917, now serves religious purposes and houses a memorial room. In the northeastern part of Devičany there is also the Neoclassical manor house, built around 1810.
