Veľké Turovce – Discover Vineyards, Kúria and Hotels

Veľké Turovce combines tangible traces of winegrowing with historic buildings, a marked cycle route and landscape features in the surroundings of Dolné Turovce. This makes it possible to explore the area through several themes: from the structure of the vineyards and individual cultural monuments to mountains, churches and a ruin in the nearby and wider regional surroundings.

Nature and Wine

The marked Šahanský okruh 2111 cycle route runs through the municipality of Veľké Turovce. Dolné Turovce is also home to Turovské vinice, an allotment settlement with cottages and wine houses. The vineyard there faces southeast and has a slope inclination of 15 to 30 %. The grape varieties Egri csillagok, Dievčie hrozno and Muškát moravský grow in this vineyard. One Kúria belonged to the Ivánka family; the Kúria in Dolné Turovce was commissioned by Žigmund Plachy.
