Bartošovce Hotel – Cultural Monument and Folklore Festival

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Bartošovce was built between 1610 and 1612 using a Gothic presbytery from the early 15th century and is a national cultural monument. The building contains a single-manual organ with pedal I / P / 10 (8+2). The architecture and musical detail therefore belong to the same named building.

Culture

The cultural side of Bartošovce extends beyond the church building. The Slávnosti Bartošovskej kotliny are held annually on the penultimate weekend of August in the open-air amphitheatre of the municipality of Bartošovce. The folklore festival includes music, singing and dancing, as well as folk customs and traditions. Bartošovce is also home to the local Bartošovčan folklore ensemble. The earliest direct record of Bartošovce dates from 1408. In the 15th and 16th centuries, Bartošovce was the largest and most important village in the Bartošovské panstvo estate.
