In the 1740s, it was extensively rebuilt in the Baroque style, causing almost all of its medieval architectural details to be lost. Kostol sv. Mikuláša also contains a stone baptismal font dating from 1531. The building is listed in the register of immovable national cultural monuments under ÚZPF number 1020/1.

The Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God (Chrám Narodenia Presvätej Bohorodičky) in Žakovce was built in 1793 as a Baroque-Classical church of tolerance without a tower. It is listed in the Central Register of the Slovak Monument Fund under number 1 019/1, is in good condition and serves its religious purpose. Cycling
