Vieska was first mentioned in 1322 under the name Kysfeuldi. The village is home to a stone Pietà dating from 1814.

History
The World War memorial in Vieska stands in the municipal cemetery. Dating from 1992, it commemorates local residents who fell in the Second World War. The large cemetery cross was erected in 1863 and renovated in 1991.
The chapel dedicated to the Immaculate Virgin was built by the Rosary Society in 1852 and rebuilt by the municipality in 1995. József Pivovárcsi is named on the grave of the teachers' family Pivovárcsi as a school principal and teacher.
For the spring welcoming festival “Privítanie jari”, planned for March 20, 2026, at 4 p.m. in the cultural center, bean goulash, sweet and savory treats, refreshments, historical objects, and the sale of Easter decorations had been announced.
Landscape
Vieska is located in the Danubian Lowland, in the central part of Žitný ostrov. The village is also located in the Dunajská Streda District on Žitný ostrov, which is part of the Danubian Lowland. The cadastral area of Vieska is considered fertile and has good pastureland. The entire planning area of Vieska belongs to the Žitný ostrov protected water management area.
The Klátovské rameno National Nature Reserve extends into Vieska's Blatná lúka cadastral area, where the fifth level of protection applies. The reserve comprises preserved communities of aquatic vegetation and typical floodplain forests. Rare and protected plant and animal species occur there.
The Dunajská Streda District is suitable for walks in floodplain forests and water sports on the Little Danube.
Cycling
A route of the Galanta Cycling Circuit, marked with cycling-tourism signs, runs through the planning area of Vieska along an existing field road.
Cycling route 5232 is 27 km long, of which 24 km run through flat terrain. It passes through Vieska for a distance of 2.4 km.
Surroundings
The Pálfiovský kaštieľ chateau is located in the immediate vicinity of Vieska. The surrounding area also includes Ostrov Island, the Amadeovský kaštieľ chateau, and the Svätý Anton monastery.
