Kališe – Nature, History and Hotels

The Church of St. Ahacij in Kališe is associated with a roost of lesser horseshoe bats. On June 29, 2010, the openings to the roost were unchanged and in good condition. In 2010, 47 adult lesser horseshoe bats were recorded there. The lesser horseshoe bats probably entered the Church of St. Ahacij in Kališe from the Church of St. Ana v Gozdu, 2,170 meters away.

The route from Kališe to Kranjska reber begins in Kališe at an elevation of 960 meters. It is considered an easy, unmarked trail.

The Kališe Partisan Monument commemorates the fighters who fell on January 19, 1943, in an engagement between the Kamnik Battalion and German troops. The monument is located below the village of Kališe, south of the house at Kališe 10.
