Culture
St. Nicholas Church in Miklavž is first mentioned in 1382. It acquired its present form in 1662; it also has a late Gothic bell tower dating from the early 16th century. Several Roman stones are built into the exterior wall, linking the church building with the area’s older traces.
At the very edge of Miklavž, a Roman burial mound was reconstructed and restored in 2002. It can be visited as a cultural heritage monument. The participants in the traditional Kurentov skok dance around a fire and ring large cowbells to drive away winter and all evil.
The traditional Kurentov skok was performed in the Miklavž amphitheatre in a small woodland near the Spar branch by the miklavški koranti and the Dobrovški kurenti.
Nature

The springs, stream, and ponds also form a valuable habitat for endangered animal and plant species.
