Paka: Themed Trail to the Paka Spring and Chapels

On the way to the source of the Paka, the water flows over larger and smaller granite blocks and forms small waterfalls. The source itself lies in the forests of Pohorje at an altitude of 1,412 metres below the Volovica plateau. An information board at the source describes the special features of this part of Pohorje.

Glažutska Planina is a mountain in the immediate vicinity of Paka, as is Volovica. Basališče and Črni Vrh are mountains in the area around Paka. The wider regional area is home to two cultural attractions with different histories and functions: Graščina v Selah is a castle, while Sankt Leonhard is a monastery.

A memorial monument made from an unworked granite monolith with a star and three cast-iron plaques stands at the Požeg homestead. The monument commemorates an attack on 18 February 1944 in which twelve partisans lost their lives.

The Ošlakova chapel stands beside a road near the house at Paka 84. It is covered by a gabled brick roof; inside, there is a niche with a crucifix and a statue of the Virgin Mary with the Child. The chapel was restored in 1995. At that time, a statue of the Virgin Mary was acquired to replace a cross that had previously stood there.

The Termotova chapel, dating from 1933, was restored not long ago. The closed chapel has accentuated corner edges and a tympanum. Inside, there are two side niches and a glazed main niche. The Termotova chapel stands in a pasture on the path to the Ošlakova homestead and its chapel.
