Nature

The more than 500-year-old village linden tree in the centre of Žiganja vas is a natural asset of national importance. In the heart of the Karawanks, MYCONOCTIS offers a night-time excursion along a mysterious mushroom trail. The municipality of Tržič also takes care of the maintenance and upkeep of the Rožnovenska pot thematic trail.
Culture
The old town of Tržič is fully protected as a cultural monument. The Germovka smithy is the best-preserved forge in Tržič. The Tržiški muzej presents local shoemaking, leather production, traditional Tržiški-Vişnje stockings, the production of blue-print fabrics, and the skiing tradition.
The Slovenian Ski Museum traces the development of skiing from its early beginnings as a means of transport to its evolution into a modern sport. The Museum of the Ljubelj Concentration Camp houses a permanent exhibition in a former military barracks.
The Dr. Tone Pretnar Memorial Room is dedicated to the work of the translator, whose demanding translations introduced numerous foreign authors to Slovenian readers. The Tekec Nativity scene is an example of Slovenian folk and religious culture. The Kurnik House combines rural and small-town architecture from the 18th, 19th, and first half of the 20th centuries. A visit to Neuhaus Castle includes a herb garden and a tea gathering.

Šuštarska nedelja takes place on the first Sunday in September and developed from the markets of Tržič.
