Kalinata is also home to the marsh snowdrop, one of the plant species listed in Bulgaria’s Red Data Book.

Residents and visitors to Kosharitsa take part in the ritual. Kosharitsa’s village festival is celebrated on November 1 in connection with Saint Ivan of Rila.

Cuisine

Kosharitsa is known for producers of traditional Bulgarian sausages, including sudzhuk and lukanka. On January 14, a sausage festival with tastings of homemade meat specialties takes place.
