Řepín: Hotels and Accommodations

In Řepín stands the Church of Our Lady of Victory, which was built between 1846 and 1850 on the site of an older church dedicated to Saint Andrew, documented as early as 1303. It is a two-towered, Neo-Gothic, three-nave church with a presbytery.

Culture

The church with its rectory is located in the upper center of Řepín next to the château; regular services are held in the parish church. Řepín Château is a two-storey building in the Pseudo-Gothic style, built in the 19th century on the site of an earlier fortress. The protected château complex includes the château, a park, utility buildings, the gardener’s house, a barn, a well, as well as boundary walls and gates.

Near the local school stand the Memorial to the War Victims in Řepín and the memorial to the Národní mstitel partisan group. Both memorials are clearly legible and well maintained.

Guided tours with commentary at Řepínský vinohrad Štěpán include a walk through the vineyard, a tasting of local wines, and explanations by the owners. Řepínské vinobraní is a traditional autumn event.

Nature

Řepín lies in the vicinity of the Kokořínsko-Máchův kraj Protected Landscape Area but is not part of its protected area.

A blue-marked hiking trail runs through the Řepínský důl and Libeňský důl valleys. It comes from Mělnická Vrutice, runs along the southern edge of Řepín, and continues to Zahájí. Cycling Route No. 0008 also runs through the same valley area.

Bus route 696 regularly serves Řepín on the Mělník – Střemy – Nebužely – Řepín route, or Kanina – Mšeno.

Other places: Vojkovice, Chorušice, Mšeno, Újezdec, Nelahozeves, Čečelice, Nebužely and Neratovice.
