Bukovno: Hotels and Accommodation

A prominent landmark in Bukovno is the Church of St. John of Nepomuk. The late Baroque building was constructed in 1769–1770 and is a distinctive feature of the village skyline. The roof of the main nave was repaired in the second construction phase in the second half of November 2012.

History and Architectural Heritage

Bukovno is first documented in 1387 in connection with Pešík of Bukovno. The Boží muka wayside shrines stand on the main road to Michalovice, near the centre of Bukovno. The pillar-shaped sandstone shrines bear an iron cross with the crucified Christ.

Farmstead No. 24 in Bukovno, protected as a cultural monument, is a large, representative estate from the second half of the 19th century with a romantically designed façade. A monument in the central park commemorates 25 residents who lost their lives in the war.

Leisure and Public Spaces

The leisure area includes a zip line, a combined fitness element, balance stilts and a ropes course. It can be reached via the municipal infrastructure and is located along a woodland walking route used for recreation and spending time together.

A summer cinema was held near the Sokolovna; in bad weather, it was held inside the Sokolovna.
