Bzová: Hotels and Accommodations

The origins of Bzová are closely linked to Žebrák Castle; the later existence of the village is closely linked to Točník Castle.

History

The municipal area of Bzová extends into the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. This also clearly defines the landscape setting of the village.

Culture

The Bezovka cultural hall in Bzová, Bzová 167, can be used for celebrations, balls and other events. A windmill protected as a cultural monument stands at Bzová No. 66. The former windmill of Bzová is a two-storey, cylindrical rubble-stone building of Dutch type on a low hill on the southwestern outskirts of the village. It is one of the few surviving masonry windmills in Central Bohemia.

Nature and Surroundings

Holý vrch Hill is located in the vicinity of Bzová. The surrounding area also includes Týřov Castle ruins, Zřícenina Valdek Castle ruins, the Church of St. Peter, and the Hřeben and Plešivec hills. Beran Hill lies in the wider regional surroundings of Bzová, as does Karlštejn Castle.

The Hlinovka water reservoir near Bzová is used for sport fishing and as a bathing spot.

A Bzovská pouť pilgrimage festival is listed in Bzová for August 26, 2022.
