Hobšovice: Hotels and accommodations

Hobšovický Pond lies on the Bakovský Stream in the western part of the Hobšovice cadastral area. Covering approximately 10 hectares, it is a particularly protected natural monument. It is also a regional biocentre and is protected because it is an important bird-breeding site and home to wetland communities. Numerous gulls nest on an island in Hobšovický Pond every year.

The protected area of Mokřiny u Beřovic also includes the Hobšovice cadastral area. Mokřiny u Beřovic is protected as an important breeding, resting and migratory bird area, as well as a habitat for wetland animals and plants.

Culture and local history

The Church of Saint Wenceslas is a prominent landmark in the landscape around Hobšovice. The original Church of Saint Wenceslas was Gothic; in 1850, a Baroque tower with three bells was added to its western side.

On the road to Luníkov stands a monument featuring a statue of the risen Christ. It was erected in 1878 in memory of two young people who tragically lost their lives there. The Classicist monument was restored in 2012 and 2013 and then returned to its original location.

Since 4 February 2024, the Minimuzeum panenek has been located in the former shop premises at Hobšovice No. 20. The Doll Museum displays historic and retro dolls, as well as other toys. Visits to the Minimuzeum panenek Hobšovice can also be arranged for another date.

Trails and events

The educational trail along the Bakovský, Vranský and Zlonický rivers was opened in 2013 and has station 19 in Hobšovice. The educational trail has a total of 21 stations; the routes can be combined into different lengths.

The traditional Bartolomějská pouť takes place in Hobšovice on the last Saturday in August. In summer, a refreshment stand is open every afternoon at the sports field in Hobšovice. The Hobšovická motoristická burza is considered a traditional event.
