Animal World
The “Terária” area also features rare iguanas, turtles, songbirds, spiders, and stick insects. An walk-through aviary has been set up for curious squirrels and golden pheasants. In the “Ušákov” children’s area, children can play with the largest rabbits in the world.
As part of the “Family Animal Feeding” program, visitors can feed their favorite animal accompanied by a zookeeper. As part of the “Feeding for the Brave” program, visitors can feed chameleons, iguanas, or snakes with insect food.
On the Grounds
On the “Educational Trail,” visitors receive information about the natural environment around the zoo and learn to recognize animal tracks and the calls of Czech bird species. The “Educational Trail” runs past more than 10 stations and interactive elements around the camel and into the lower area with an amphitheater and children’s playground.
Visiting and Getting There
Zoopark Zájezd consists of two visitor areas. The main car park is located outside the village of Zájezd in the direction of Libochovičky; from there, a 500 m walk through nature leads via the educational trail or the butterfly garden.
Zoopark Zájezd can be reached by bus lines 350/622 from Praha, Dejvická to Kladno via Okoř, as well as by line 342 from Praha, Veleslavín to Slaný, with a stop at Bouchalka.
