Hracholusky: Hotels and Accommodation

Hracholusky is located in the forests of Křivoklátsko. The surrounding area includes the Berounka gorge, geological features, designated trails, and evidence of a long local history.

Nature

The Berounka gorge forms the southeastern boundary of the administrative area of the municipality of Hracholusky. The Valachov natural monument contains adits created by the mining of alum shale. Valachov is also a site where secondary sulfur minerals have been found.

Čertova Skála is a geotourism attraction consisting of Neoproterozoic basalt with a typical pillow-lava structure; the basalt there was formerly called spilite. Čertova Skála is also a nature reserve within a protected landscape area.

History and Architecture

Examples of traditional architecture have been preserved in Hracholusky, including wooden and masonry buildings. The first written mention of the village dates from 1379. Historically, Hracholusky was a fief serving Křivoklát Royal Castle.

Trails and Orientation

The red-marked KČT hiking trail Svatojakubská cesta passes through Hracholusky. Čertova Skála can be reached from Hracholusky; parking is available at the end of the village, from where it is approximately 650 metres to the rock.
