Jíkev: Hotels and accommodations

The war memorial in Jíkev village park commemorates the victims of both world wars. The sandstone monument to the fallen was ceremonially unveiled in 1920. It was created by the Hořice sculptors Josef Deyl and František Vejse. It lists 24 men from Jíkev who died in the First World War, as well as three victims of the Second World War.

The U Borku mountain [Záhornice u Městce Králové] is located near Jíkev. The Šibinka hill [Loučeň], the (Tuzarovsko) hill [Loučeň-Patřín], and the Vrchy hill [Krchleby u Nymburka] are located in the surrounding area. The Ronovka stream is located in Jíkev.

Local history and culture

The Sokolovna in Jíkev is housed in a former municipal granary that was acquired in 1882 and converted into a Sokolovna by TJ Sokol in 1932. Historical theater performances, masquerade balls, and dance events were held at the Sokolovna.

In 1936, the village square in Jíkev was landscaped, a park was established, and a water basin was built. The gate of farmstead No. 34 is located in Jíkev.
